What is your industry or area of expertise?

I’m in the areas of social services and healthcare. My organization Magnolia was founded 20 years ago to support women with children who are challenged with substance use disorders, as well as mental health.

Why do you believe in the mission of BlackFemaleProject?

It’s inspiring. It’s nice to be connected with other Black women who are in business and who are achieving their goals and their dreams and to be able to support each other without any judgment.

What brought you to BlackFemaleProject?

My daughter, Ché Abram, introduced me to BlackFemaleProject, and they asked me to be on one of their first panels.

How has BlackFemaleProject impacted you personally?

It’s all about the pure joy that Precious has for her business, and if she needs support, I'm willing to give it. In a lot of ways, just the thought of BlackFemaleProject is quite nurturing—that there is a community of us out there that care about each other. And Precious emanates all of that. She makes you feel special, and she makes you feel very valued, and very welcomed. She’s amazing and to have taken this on as part of her passion and her purpose, she has served the vision well.

What BlackFemaleProject content have you found most resonant?

I love the Wellness Calendar. It’s nice to receive it every year. Plus, whenever they are at the fairs and things, I always go.
