WHAT WE DO
We carry out our mission through three program areas, all grounded in WELLNESS, Wisdom, and Work:
-
Research
In order to illuminate the patterned nature of the barriers that Black women often encounter at work, we invest in research that captures and elevates the common themes that exist across so many unique stories.
Our research archive helps to depersonalize certain obstacles that we face and make clear that these challenges aren’t about us, individually; rather, they’re a direct result of the systemic and intersectional oppressions that exist in many institutions.
-
Media
We produce multimedia content—in written, audio, and video formats—to reflect the professional experience of a diverse and ever-growing group of Black women.
We invest in this work in order to document our legacy and create an archive that’s accessible to women across the world, beyond our immediate network.
-
Events
Through virtual and in-person events, we bring Black women together—across generations and industries—to engage in storytelling, sisterhood, resource and knowledge sharing, inspiration, healing, and growth.
We curate spaces intentionally to reflect the world we want to live in, allowing the space to be alive and guide our facilitation. We host conversations, networking opportunities, and social mixers, and we activate spaces at events in the community. We invite people of different identities who support Black women to select engagements.
