NOVEMBER 2024 Wellness Resources

The modern world is full of extremes. As we witness and experience drastic political, social, and environmental crises, we continue to be surrounded by beautiful examples of love, resistance, and hope. Meaningful, aligned, and supportive connections are crucial in these times and, as BlackFemaleProject Advisor, Marthea Alley-Caliz, reminds us: they are also crucial to our career journeys.

BlackFemaleProject is a landing place for Black women seeking this type of community. Given that we have the good fortune of standing in the long legacy of thriving Black women, we’re acutely aware that we’ve made it through some unimaginably challenging times. And we know that we’ll make it through these times, too, and that the power of sisterhood will help us enjoy ourselves along the way. We’re honored to provide resources that support the well-being of our growing network, and we invite you to explore this month’s resources in support of your commitment to connection.

RESOURCES FOR THRIVING

REFLECTION QUESTIONs:

How do you prioritize making time and space for connection in the midst of the competing demands of life?

What practices can you implement to ensure that  you connect with like-minded Black women on a regular basis?
