SEPTEMBER 2024 Wellness Resources

One of the core reasons that Precious Stroud started BlackFemaleProject was to offer guidance and insights for younger Black women, in hopes that they’ll be better prepared to navigate their professional journeys. While we all have to learn our own preferences and limitations through experience, many of us would have benefited from more transparent information about what patterns we might encounter.

Our programming and resources are meant to support you in connecting with other Black woman professionals; gaining self-awareness and an awareness of the context you exist in; and expressing and articulating your own self-defined success and happiness. For season 1 of our podcast, we hosted a powerful conversation on these topics with our inaugural leadership team. In part 4 of the conversation, April Fenall spoke to the urgency of helping other women reflect on their own professional happiness sooner than she did. We hope you’ll use this month’s resources to check in with yourself about what’s working for you, what’s not working, and how you might continue to prioritize your own well-being in your career.
