Staying Connected: Fall 2022

Fall Report from BlackFemaleProject
Staying Connected, Fall 2022
BlackFemaleProject Staying Connected

Thank you for your support in 2022! This year, BlackFemaleProject has focused on implementing our 2022-2024 strategic plan. We’re diligently working to build our organizational capacity, and our goal for the coming few years is to transition from an emerging to an established nonprofit organization.

One investment we made in 2022 was in focused fundraising training for our leadership team, so that we have the knowledge and skills we need to build a strong, sustainable donor base.

We thank all of you—our community—for your donations, event attendance, and encouragement. Your contributions support our ability to carry out our mission of uplifting #BlackWomenAtWork. And with your help, we’ll close out 2022 strong.

STRATEGIC PLAN

Building on the strategic plan we developed in 2021, we spent 2022 particularly focused on capacity building and “leveling up.” We are dedicating time to ensure that everyone working with BlackFemaleProject has the roadmaps, resources, and supports needed to design and deliver quality programming in 2023 and beyond.

There are three main goals laid out in our plan.

  • GOAL 1: Create the infrastructure necessary to support a growing, dynamic, and successful BlackFemaleProject.

  • GOAL 2: Develop the financial sustainability necessary to staff the organization appropriately and effectively.

  • GOAL 3: Invest in the development and capacity of board and staff so they can carry out the mission and work toward the vision of BlackFemaleProject.
